Find a plausible formula for the surface shown below:
I believe that this surface could be created using the formula %%y = x^2-4%% in 3 dimensions. As for the plane that the surface is intersecting, it appears to lie on the x,y plane therefore that would be %%z = 0%%.
Here is a surface I generated in Math3D. It looks pretty similar.
