The HTML version of APEX Calculus linked to in the syllabus appears to be a preprint of v5.0 of the text, rather than v4.0. The PDF copy of v4.0 has much different organization; for example, in the case of the last textbook assignment, section 11.1 is “Vector-Valued Functions” rather than “Introduction to Cartesian Coordinates in Space.”
Which version are we actually using for the class?
Okay, so my confusion was that the section numbers were different. Section 11 in the online text is section 10 in the v4.0 PDF. The problems appear to be the same.
It seems like this is because a section called “differential equations” was inserted as section 8 in the online version.
Thanks for pointing this out! As I understand it, the online version has been converted from V4 of the text. There might have been some small changes made during the conversion but it should be much closer to the V4 version than the V5 version, which is not officially out yet.
