I've been looking at this thing for hours and can't find the problem. It appears that the NDSolveValue is not returning an interpolating function which is causing the ContourPlot to cut out part of the region. Any suggestions?

Don't worry about it! I was talking to Mark about something similar. Since DirichletConditions is so new there are still a decent number of bugs. What matters is that your graph looks correct, so you can just ignore the error.

Also NDSolveValue is returning something, you just have the output suppressed. If you remove the semicolon you should get the output you were expecting.

I really like the punched out region, it looks like a long eared Yoda. Would you mind posting the region definition for it? I can't read it in the Image, because its too small.

anybody have any more info on this "bug" , it just seems interesting how it can have such a significant effect on the solution
